Community members provide information that helps police charge a Hoover man in a Birmingham shooting.
An east Birmingham store employee is under arrest after a shooting earlier this week.
East Precinct officers responded at 8:46 p.m. Monday to a Shot Spotter notification in the area of the store. Minutes later, said Sgt. Monica Law, police received a 911 call reporting that a man had been shot. Law said community members provided information that led investigators to believe that Othman, of Hoover, was the shooter. Othman was taken into custody for an investigative hold until formal warrants were obtained on Wednesday.
