A young man shot to death in Birmingham Wednesday afternoon has now been identified. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Montrial Tremaine Hardy. He was 21.

He was taken Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service to UAB Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 2:45 p.m. Police put up crime scene tape around the parking lot of 10th Avenue Deli, and the apartment complex across the street. Multiple shell casings were marked as evidence in front of the apartment building.
A male was shot to death Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2022, in the 4500 block of Richard Arrington Jr. Boulevard in Birmingham. Hardy is the city’s 127th homicide this year.
