Fans were quick to spot how quickly Jai seemed to get home to the dales from India.
Some Emmerdale fans were more concerned with an “embarrassing” blunder in the kidnapping storyline involving Laurel and evil councillor Colin rather than the drama unfolding on screen.
Colin tried to see them off by saying Laurel had fled when he smelled alcohol on her breath, but when a detective asked to go into the property, he slammed the door. Laurel asked him to allow himself to grieve properly, adding: "You lost your wife years ago and you haven't let yourself heal for her… You've bottled up your grief and it's poisoned you.” Colin broke down and Laurel urged him to open himself up to the emotions that had led to her being kidnapped and in the next scene, Colin’s car came up the road to his house, where Jai and Sunny were waiting with police.
