Police confirm two deaths in an incident in the New Zealand city hosting the Women's World Cup.

By Neil Johnston in Auckland and Emily McGarvey in LondonA shooting has left two people dead at a construction site in the central business district of Auckland, New Zealand, police say.

He added that the public could be assured police had neutralised the threat and there was no ongoing risk after the incident on Queen Street. "These kinds of situations move fast and the actions of those who risk their lives to save others are nothing short of heroic," he said.
