Bash technology services on Belfast's Sandy Row has been gutted by a fire
A father-of-four has told of his devastation after his tech business was burned down following a campaign of harassment he believes is race-related.
He told us: "I have had four or five minor accidents here since I moved... an accident in June, two in July and two in August. This is the final one as I have to move out." "I told them I need your help and advice – they said they can't do anything – just follow up with the police. I told them there is more of this going on and they told me it might be children because there is no school going on."
"It was continuous and no one was listening. I spoke to the police and local people I know and the community and I told them seriously 'I am not feeling safe'. It's a hate crime. Police say they are appealing for information and witnesses following the fire around 3.35am on Friday, August 18. T/Superintendent Finola Dornan added: "Our officers attended, along with colleagues from the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service, who extinguished the blaze.
