The cute little farm shop with epic breakfast, free play barn and stunning views
Waugh Brow Farm Shop has expanded over recent years and through the summer opens up an adorable free hay bale play barn for kids at weekends too.
The farm shop has become known for its epic farmers' breakfasts, home-made burgers and a range of cakes and ice creams too. You can go for either the "Mr Jones breakfast" which comes with THREE sausages and rashers of bacon for the £13.95, or the still vast "Mrs Jones breakfast" with just one of everything for £10.95 instead.
The hay-bale play barn is filled with play equipment including playhouses, mini tractors and mini wheelbarrows. There's also a see-saw and slides. Ruth says: "We're very lucky, we have a loyal regular customer base and with adding the Snack Shack and play barn it also gets people who wouldn't usually come out to a farm.
They've even installed a tongue-in-cheek "Sheep and Aviation Viewing Station" where you can sit and look out at the gorgeous countryside, and spot the planes that regularly zoom over."Now that they've moved the direction of where the planes take off, you can almost wave at the pilot, they come directly over us so we do get a lot of aviation enthusiasts with their binoculars. here.
Ruth's son-in-law is ex-professional footballer Daniel Worthington, who is now a fully trained fitness coach and runs the classes.
