Vince Gill brings together his superstar friends, collaborators and some of the biggest names in music to honor him with performances of his most legendary hits; Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood, Chris Stapleton and more during tonight's 'CMT Giants: Vince Gill' at 9 p.m.
Gill’s CMT history includes a Sting collaboration for a 2011 episode of “CMT Crossroads,” a pairing with Alison Krauss for the “CMT Cross Country” series in 2006, and a 2019 “CMT Artists of the Year” appearance to present Reba McEntire with the “Artist of a Lifetime” award. Throughout his 30-plus year career, Vince Gill has picked up 22 Grammys, 19 CMA awards, is a member of the Grand Ole Opry and the Country Music Hall of Fame.
“From his timeless song catalog, numerous awards and unmatched musicianship, to the respect and camaraderie cultivated among his fellow musicians, and of course, his signature sense of humor, we can all agree Vince is a true titan in country music,” said Margaret Comeaux, senior VP of production, music and events, CMT, in a statement.
