Are NFL referees treating Justin Fields unfairly? DaBears

is dissatisfied with the treatment he’s receiving from NFL officials. Fields has been roughed up in the pocket more than any quarterback across the league this season. He recently sounded off on the situation via local reporters and makes an excellent point.

“It’s just been too many times where I feel like I’ve gotten hit late and there’s been no flag,” Justin Fields recentlyFields is desperate enough to receive equal treatment to resort to begging opposing officials to call the game fairly. Fields has been sacked on a league-high 46 occasions—Chicago’s leaky offensive line owns a league-worst sack rate of 13.75%.

Yet, in a league that features more egregious and controversial roughing-the-passer whistles than ever before, Fields oddly hasn’t benefited from such flags. We’ve witnessed NFL fans from all over the nation sound off on non-present roughing-the-passer calls that have directly impacted the outcomes of several games this season. Bears fans haven’t had an opportunity to partake in such festivities.

Fields’ 143 rushing attempts have further exposed him to crushing collisions with opposing defenders. Yet, Fields hasn’t been on the receiving end of calls that quarterbacks such as
