Dre’Mont done for season
Dre’Mont Jones’ fourth season in the NFL came to an early end on Saturday when he was placed on injured reserve by the Denver Broncos with a hip injury. With only three weeks remaining in the season for the Broncos, who have been eliminated from the playoffs, Jones will not be eligible to return from IR before the end of the season.
In 13 games before his injury this season, Jones set a new career-high 47 total tackles and tied previous career-highs with 6.5 sacks and nine tackles for loss – all numbers that will bolster his chances of earning a big contract as he becomes a free agent for the first time in his NFL career after this season.Sam Hubbard left the Cincinnati Bengals’ win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a left calf injury he suffered in the second quarter.
