Alonso believes there is much more to come from the Aston Martin F1 team this year, as he says the car with which he scored a podium in Bahrain is 'basic'.

Fernando Alonso says he’s optimistic that Aston Martin’s Formula 1 team can carry its impressive Bahrain pace through the 2023 season after beginning the year with a “basic car”.stunned the paddock with its promising pace during winter testing, which was confirmed in the Bahrain Grand Prix as Alonso scored a podium on his first race for the Silverstone-based team.
