A release from police said the 26-year-old, driving a Dodge Challenger eastbound on I-90, traveled off the left side colliding with the center wall.
After colliding, police said he stopped east of the West 41st Street overpass, where he exited the car.
At the same time, police reported a 38-year-old man driving a Jeep Cherokee eastbound on I-90 collided with the 26-year-old pedestrian and his car. The Cherokee went off the right side of the roadway, and a third vehicle, a Honda Accord driven by a 22-year-old man, collided with the Dodge Challenger as well.
Police said this caused the Challenger to hit a fourth vehicle, a semi-truck driven by a 32-year-old man.The 26-year-old, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Cleveland police.The drivers of the Jeep and the semi were not injured. A portion of I-90 East was closed for approximately three hours Friday morning as crews worked to clear the scene of the crash.
