One man was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds and another fled injured after a shooting at a northwest Houston apartment, where drugs and guns were also found, according to Houston Police Department Officials. Police responded to a call of a shooting around 2:50 a.m. at the West Bellfort Apartments. The door to the apartment was unlocked and officers entered to do a welfare check, Izaguire said.
They found a man in his 20s dead on the floor with multiple gunshot wounds to his chest, Lt. Ignacio Izaguire told OnScene TV reporters.Officers found a trail of blood in the street in front of the complex and saw a man acting suspiciously, Izaguire told OnScene TV reporters. The man, believed to have been inside the apartment earlier, fled on foot. Officers have been unable to find him, Izaguire said.Police are actively searching for suspects in the case, he said.
