A zebra crossing is set to be upgraded to a light-controlled crossing after safety concerns were raised in the community.
Works are expected to begin at the site at the end of this month, with the decision welcomed by a campaigning politician.
It comes after residents organised a petition on the issue, which called for something to be done about the problem spot. “Alongside the new light-controlled crossing, the speed limit on the road could be reduced to 20mph to reduce the number of road accidents caused by cars losing control on the hill.
