At least when it came to daily rounds, Saskatchewan’s golf courses were busier than ever these past couple of years.
“Working with industry stakeholders, golf was allowed to reopen under strict guidelines at first, with reduced tee times, but the golf demand sky-rocketed,” noted Lee. “For two years, the game was one of the most popular pastimes. We hope the trend continues in 2022 and beyond.” The competition schedule will be highlighted by a trio of provincial championships — Saskatchewan Men’s Amateur, Saskatchewan Women’s Amateur and Saskatchewan Mid-Am — to be played during the week of July 12-15 at the Cooke Municipal Golf Course in Prince Albert.
The father-and-son team of Pat and Josh Marcia captured top spot at the PGA of Saskatchewan Pro Partner event at the Regina Royal Club.
