YouTube CEO SusanWojcicki is stepping down from her role leading the world's largest video hosting platform after nine years.
YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki announced on Thursday that she was stepping down from her role. The company's chief product officer Neal Mohan will step in as her replacement."Today, after nearly 25 years here, I've decided to step back from my role as the head of YouTube and start a new chapter focused on my family, health, and personal projects I'm passionate about," Wojcicki said. She said she would continue to work with the company and coach the company's members.
"The time is right for me, and I feel able to do this because we have an incredible leadership team in place at YouTube," she added."When I joined YouTube nine years ago, one of my first priorities was bringing in an incredible leadership team."Wojcicki joined YouTube's parent company Google in 1998 in its early days.
