Vital funds were raised for the Glasgow Children’s Hospital charity
As part of a Harry Potter event, the Braehead Shopping Centre played host to three days of witchcraft and wizardry-themed fun with children invited to dress up as their favourite characters.A touch of green screen magic was used for special photos that made it appear as though they were standing on the grounds of Hogwarts.A series of other activities over the Harry Potter weekend included a treasure hunt as well as arts and craft workshops.
The event successfully raised vital funds which will go towards supporting life-changing projects and services for children in hospital and their families. Braehead’s community development manager, Lydia Brown said: “We had a magical weekend of wizards and witches and everyone enjoyed becoming Harry Potter, even for just a little while.”William McGowan, Head of Partnerships and Events, Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity added: “We are incredibly grateful to Braehead for their continued support and generosity.
“Funds raised through our Harry Potter Weekend activities will help to continue our charity-funded play and events programme, family support services and well-being support for NHS staff, giving children and their families the best possible hospital experience.”
