A young man was found dead in Sherwood Forest, an inquest has heard. Riley Farnworth, who was just 20-years-old at the time of his death, was found in a wooded area of Sherwood Forest in Nottinghamshire on July 16.
Neena Sharma, assistant coroner for Nottinghamshire, opened the inquest into his death at Nottingham Council House in Old Market Square on Friday, August 11. The coroner said Mr Farnworth's body was identified by his uncle, who confirmed this to an attending police officer. A post-mortem examination has been carried out following his death, the inquest heard. As a result, a provisional cause of death of "1a - precise cause of death yet to be ascertained", had been recorded.The coroner explained the inquest would be adjourned for the completion of further inquiries and will be resumed on a date which has not yet been fixed. Ms Sharma added: "I pass my sincere condolences to the family of Riley Farnworth.
