Redstone Arsenal is doing some testing.

If you’re traveling in north Alabama this week you might encounter some bright flashes of light in the sky. Before you assume there is an alien invasion, however, don’t be concerned. It’s only testing from Redstone Arsenal.

Army aviation on Redstone Arsenal will be conducting training through Saturday. The training will include visible low-flying aircraft that could include the deployment of “expendable training devices,” Redstone said. “There training devices may appear as bright flashes of light to those on the ground,” the arsenal said in a statement.The tests adhere to Army and Federal Aviation Administration regulations, military officials said.
