Many of the most beloved fashion treasures of MarcJacobs's past are now under one roof.
Procell and Gonsalves trawled the Internet for two months, contacting everyone in their Rolodex of global collectors to find the best Marc Jacobs pieces. By the end of their epic search, the pair had pulled together over 150 items. “We were maniacs looking at sites in Japan because we didn’t have the time to travel there, looking at people’s personal collections, closets [of those] we know, and people who have a history with the brand,” says Gonsalves.
The Procell x Marc Jacobs collaboration comes at a time when designer resale is having a major moment and fashion nostalgia—be it for the early ’00s or the late ’90s—is at an all-time high. The number of brands reissuing collections is growing, too: including Versace, Helmut Lang, and, yes, Marc Jacobs, who re-released his iconicjust last year.
