YG Entertainment founder Yang Hyun-Suk reportedly booked on suspicion of arranging prostitution services

The 49-year-old entertainment mogul and producer was one-third of iconic Korean group Seo Taiji & Boys until its disbandment in 1996. He founded YG Entertainment and has since been a major player in the Korean entertainment industry. Over the years, YG Entertainment has managed popular acts including BIGBANG, 2NE1, Psy and BLACKPINK.

Yang was booked following suspicion that he had arranged prostitution services for potential investors in 2014. Yang has denied the allegations. The investigation followed a series of high-profile investigations taking place around YG Entertainment over 2019, which have also seen BIGBANG’s Seungri and iKON’s B.I., both previously signed to the label, leave the entertainment industry.
