It’s told across two timelines — 1996 after the crash, and the present day. Jasmin plays teenage Taissa, a competitive, ambitious soccer player who firmly refuses to believe in a supernatural element to the team’s experiences in the Canadian wilderness following a plane crash on their way to Nationals.
“It was healing to 16, 17 year old me who didn't get to have that,” Jasmin, now 27, says. “I didn't come out until I was 21. I didn't have a date to homecoming. I went with my friends. I never would have asked who I actually had a crush on, which was definitely a girl, so it was really healing to teenage Jasmine to get to have that moment.”Their relationship is important to the development of both characters — and to teasing out a very mysterious plot.
