It comes less than a week after parts of Suffolk and Norfolk were badly flooded in Storm Babet.
The warning, which runs from 18:00 BST until 10:00 on Wednesday, has been issued by the Met Office for Essex, specifically areas around Thurrock and Southend-on Sea.during Storm Babet.
The Met Office has said rain is likely to be heavy at times and will cause flooding and disruption in some places. Scattered showers will become more frequent and turn into a longer spell of rain through Tuesday evening before gradually clearing eastward during Wednesday morning, the Met Office said. People are being warned of a potential for homes and businesses to flood, possible disruption to public transport and difficult driving conditions.
