s over the last few months, players were happy to find out that while the last-gen versions of the game are still being worked on, the launch will prioritize PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X with last-gen versions arriving at a later date.A small update as we’re continuing to review feedback from the Open Session!Launch will be on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. We’re working on last-gen platforms for later.
Some users wanted Ubisoft to take it a step further and completely drop last-gen consoles altogether with onenoting that while it is probably “bad business” to leave a generation of players out of a free-to-play game, the current generation of consoles has been out for almost three years now and Ubisoft should “just call it a day and say they aren’t getting any.”
However, other players were more sympathetic with many pointing out that the accessibility to current-gen consoles simply wasn’t there until recently. Whether last-gen consoles are truly holding back the current generation of games is another discussion but overall, XDefiant players are happy with Ubisoft’s recent decision.
