The 2019 world champion managed to pull a further 3.0s clear of Hyundai rivalEquipped with fresh studded tyres, Tanak was able to clock the second fastest time on Stage 16 , while Breen, utilising a mix of new and worn tyres, was only able to post a time good enough for fourth.
"I tried to be as committed as I could, but in one or two places I was just too hesitant,” said Breen."We got through it cleanly with no mistakes and that's very important.” Rovanpera’s morning didn’t get off to the best of starts as the Finn revealed he encountered a “small issue” on the road section before the stage.
