Kalle Rovanpera has edged closer to securing a dominant RallyNZ victory and a potential WRC title success on Sunday morning. Report: ⬇️
The Toyota driver extended his lead to 32.0s over team-mate Sebastien Ogier, while chief title rival Hyundai’s Ott Tanak held third, 46.1s adrift. Rovanpera and Tanak shared the spoils across the pair of Sunday morning stages.
For the first time since Thursday crews faced clear skies as the final day of Rally New Zealand kicked off with a blast through a short 8.82km forrest stage. "I just tried to have a normal pace and we will see what we can do in the afternoon,” said Rovanpera. “Nothing crazy. I am not really pushing - I just wanted to start the day with a bit of driving and keep comfortable.”Photo by: Red Bull Content Pool
