Woman killed in crash off Interstate 8 in El Cajon [Breaking]
A 32-year-old woman was killed early Sunday after her car crashed off Interstate 8 in El Cajon early Sunday, crashing into a tree and then another vehicle, a California Highway Patrol officer said.
The crash occurred about 4:30 a.m. near Second Street. The woman, who lived in Lemon Grove, was headed east in a 2002 Audi TT when she veered off the freeway, said CHP Officer Matthew Baranowski. The car crashed into a tree along the freeway, then into a 2008 Honda CRV on the off-ramp to Second Street, Baranowski said.The driver of the Audi died before she could be taken to a hospital. Her name was not released.
The Honda driver, a 31-year-old man, and his passenger suffered minor injuries, Baranowski said. Paramedics treated both of them at the scene.
