The woman was found inside a dwelling with one or more wounds to her body, the police said. The nature of the wounds was not specified. The site is in the Suitland/Hillcrest Heights area.Police said they did not think the killing was random and were trying to determine a motive and identify a suspect.
The site appears to be a mixed-use area that includes both apartments and businesses. It is about a half-mile southeast of the Naylor Road Metro station and is just south of Suitland Parkway.
