A woman was seriously injured Saturday morning in a crash involving a utility pole on Route 9 in Wellesley, Massachusetts.
One neighbor who spoke to NBC10 Boston said by the time he heard the impact and went outside, there was already an officer at the scene.
"The policeman had some instrument, he was able to crack open the door and they were able to pull the lady out," Anand Acharya said of what he witnessed earlier Saturday.Police said it would be a while before traffic could resume as normal on Route 9, calling it an"extended operation." The damage utility pole needs to be replaced through the afternoon, and the vehicle has to be removed, as well.
