The charges come after police said Ramos’ mother Lourdes Ramos Baez, 67, was found dead lying face down in her upstairs bedroom under a pile of clothing and other items in Dover Township with multiple traumatic injuries on the afternoon of June 6. When police arrived at the scene, they spoke with Gautier who was located behind the residence with Ramos and two small children, police said.
After a brief struggle, police were able to arrest Gautier, according to the report. When Ramos asked police to check on her mother inside the house, officers found Baez found face down in her bedroom with duct tape around her eyes and face and coat hangers wrapped around her neck.
