A woman poisoned her boyfriend with drain cleaner because she wanted to put him into an “eternal sleep”, police said.

The allegations came to light earlier this week when Ms Weissman’s 50-year-old boyfriend arrived at an urgent care centre in Salt Lake City where he was treated for symptoms related to poisoning. A police department news release said Ms Weissman admitted to the clinic's staff that she had given the man the drain cleaner.
