Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Peacock’s genre relationship dramedy Wolf Like Me is back for season 2, further exploring the deep and complicated relationship between Josh Gad’s Gary and Isla Fisher’s Mary. Though Wolf Like Me has more werewolf action this time around, it’s still laser-focused on the ins and outs of relationship dynamics, to the credit of the vision held by creator, writer, and director Abe Forsythe.
What we were really excited about in season two is that we got to expand the world, because season one is very contained between Mary, Gary, and Emma. In season two, we really got to open it up and make their lives more complicated, because of the pregnancy, because of somebody from Mary's past coming to track her down, because of the secret getting out to other people, and the investigation of the murders of season one. It just really felt like there was a bigger world to play in.
Jodi Matterson: No. Due to the nature of when things develop, it's not about going, “We need to move it in this direction for this reason,” or, “It would be more commercial if we do that.” For Abe and I, it’s always that conversation about what's going to serve the story and these characters the best.
We just launched a show that we made here in Australia on Amazon, called The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart. It’s very different to Wolf Like Me, but it's a very intrinsically Australian show, and it really has done incredibly well for Amazon all around the world. That’s our goal.
