"The best part of this year has been becoming a mother and growing a family with my incredible wife, @martaxargay," Breanna wrote in the caption of the video."Excited to introduce Ruby, born on 8/9/21, to the world." Marta used almost the exact same caption on her account, and both new moms shared their— taken by Anna Burns for Togethxr — with a caption that revealed Ruby's full name: Ruby Mae Stewart Xargay.
But Ruby Mae was almost Ruby Tokyo, as Breanna wanted to honor her second Olympic Games in a big way. However, Marta wasn't going for it."First of all, we don't havein Spain," the 30-year-old said, laughing. She added that she told Breanna to pick something simple and easy."You're going to call her Ruby Tokyo? That doesn't go together. . . . Choose another one."
Breanna and Marta have had a lot to celebrate this year. In addition to Breanna appearing in her second Olympic Games for Team USA and Ruby's birth, the couple became engaged in May and got married in a small ceremony in Seattle on July 6.
