The person behind the winning name will receive a prize
Eureka! Science + Discovery will be opening in Seacombe this autumn and aims to ignite curiosities in children aged seven to 14, helping them to discover how science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics shapes their lives.
The new attraction is now calling on local people to help find the "purr-fect" name for its giant cat exhibit. The feline figure stands at 12 feet tall and will be the centrepiece of the attraction's Home Zone, which will explore the science behind everyday sights and sounds. The figure weighs more than 750 kilos and comes complete with a twitching tail. Visitors will be able to take selfies with the giant cat as they learn more about the animal's sounds.
Those who can think of an ideal name for the cat can submit their suggestions via Eureka! Science + Discovery's Facebook or Twitter pages. The top names will then be shortlisted and put to a public vote. The person behind the winning name will receive a free annual family pass to Eureka! Science and Discovery.
