❄️ Winter storm causing icy conditions in Plano, city says
Plano city public works crews have been preparing roads and are now applying sand, the announcement states. Crews are also monitoring parking lots and city facility entrances and sidewalks, which will be sanded on an as-needed basis.
Plano is beginning to receive reports of trees and limbs falling down, according to the city. The city has saidResidents with fallen trees or limbs are asked to call the public works department at 972-769-4140. Solid waste pickup is continuing on its usual schedule Wednesday morning. All routes are expected to be completed, but that could change if conditions rapidly worsen.. The high temperature will be about 30 degrees and the low is expected to hit 26.
Dallas, Denton, Tarrant and Collin counties could see ice accumulations of up to one-fourth of an inch and sleet accumulations of up to one-tenth of an inch on Wednesday.
