Adam Chicksen was back for the game against MK Dons
Adam Chicksen has had a difficult season battling injuries which have limited his game time for Notts County, but he was back against MK Dons to make a meaningful contribution. The 32-year-old provided the assist for Alassana Jatta’s goal in the 3-3 draw on Easter Monday, the first strike at Meadow Lane for the Gambian striker who has hit the ground running for the Magpies.
“I’ve been working hard to try and get back fit - I wanted to show my love for this club through the work that I put in on the training pitch and in games. I want to play on the front foot and I read the short pass out and I knew was going to try reverse it round the corner so I gambled which you have to do sometimes.
It has not been an easy ride for the team under Stuart Maynard, who is still trying to establish a game plan that works for the current group, and it has not been a seamless process, as evidenced by the results. Chicksen will hope that he can play a big role in the last six games of the campaign and there are certain standards he and the team have to reach to make the finish to the season the fans are hoping for.
