As part of this year's D23Expo, new concept art and costumes for the Willow sequel show were revealed, teasing new locations.
With just over two months to go until its arrival, Willow sequel show concept art reveals new fantasy locations and costumes for the long-awaited franchise follow-up set to premiere in November. The new Disney+ show will be a sequel to the 1988 cult classic Ron Howard fantasy film of the same name which starred Warwick Davis as the titular character, a Nelwyn dwarf who aspired to be a powerful sorcerer.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY The Willow show will star Mare of Easttown's Ruby Cruz as Kit, the daughter of Sorsha, who enlists the help of Willow and a knight-in-training Jade to rescue her twin brother. Alongside Davis, the cast for the show will feature the return of Joanne Whalley as Sorsha as well as Ellie Bamber, Tony Revolori, Amer Chadha-Patel, Dempsey Bryk, Rosabell Laurenti Sellers, Talisa Garcia and Ralph Ineson.
7 Images Close The Willow sequel show concept art features various costume designs of the new characters as well as never-before-seen locations, including the Dark Fortress, which looks to have been constructed underground, as well as a house built on stilts in the middle of a body of water. However, the art also features the return of previously depicted settings, including the city of Tir Asleen and Nockmaar, the site of the original movie's final battle with Bavmorda.
Not included in any of the Willow sequel show concept art or character designs is Elora, the mysterious baby that Willow protected in the original film and the foretold Princess. At the conclusion of Willow, Sorsha and Madmartigan adopt the child to raise as their own in Tir Asleen, and while Sorsha is set to return and Madmartigan reportedly included, Elora's involvement in the upcoming series has been kept under wraps with no details revealed regarding her whereabouts.
