The Halloween franchise has gone through various retcons, making way for different timelines, and it even has one movie that isn’t part of the Michael Myers saga, yet one element from it appears in the reboot trilogy: Silver Shamrock, and a wild theory explains how this is possible.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Titled Halloween III: Season of the Witch, the movie left Michael Myers and Laurie Strode aside and instead told the story of Dr. Dan Challis and Ellie Grimbridge , who team up to investigate a mysterious murder. This leads them to Conal Cochran , the owner of the Silver Shamrock Novelties Company, who is trying to resurrect the ancient aspects of Samhain.
Challis also found out that Cochran kept a big piece of Stonehenge at his laboratory, and after activating the chips and killing everyone on Cochran’s team, the stone activated and sent a light through Cochran, who simply disappeared. Brain Mutant’s theory explains that Cochran wasn’t killed by the stone, and instead, he was transported to a different timeline within the Halloween franchise.
Why Halloween III Isn’t Part of the Michael Myers Saga Although it carries “Halloween” on its title, Halloween III: Season of the Witch isn’t part of the Michael Myers saga because it follows Carpenter’s original plan for the Halloween franchise. When Carpenter and writer Debra Hill were approached about making a third Halloween movie, they only agreed on the condition that it wasn’t a sequel to Halloween II, meaning no Michael Myers.
