BROOKLYN — The Warriors’ margin of error is thinning with every loss.
They own one of the worst road records in the league, falling to 3-15 with a blowout defeat to the New York Knicks Tuesday. And another loss seems inevitable for the depleted Warriors, who will have six players unavailable for the last game of this road trip. If the season ended Wednesday, the Warriors would be on the outside looking in to the playoffs. They were in 11th place in the Western Conference standings as of Wednesday — five games out of first and a half-game back from the 10th seed.“We know what our team looks like when we’re healthy,” he said pregame Wednesday. “So you just have to keep plugging away during the season and get through the rough patches.
Winning with Curry playing at an MVP-caliber level was difficult for this team. Now, they’re just trying to tread water and not let their season go totally off the rails until Curry returns.
