Shazam! Fury of the Gods is one of the biggest box office bombs of 2023, but should have performed a lot better at the box office. The DC Movie brand is in a state of transition under the new leadership of co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran, leaving this existing film slate in a state of limbo as the remaining movies produced under the previous regime don't necessarily fit into Gunn's new plan for the DC movie universe.
