, but Baker and Boynton wanted to celebrate the start of the new season in a special way. "Both [of us] love fall," Baker says. "We like the tones; we like the departure of glowy skin and summer colors. It's all about this cooling off, getting more sultry, getting more moody."
The best part is the whole autumnal look cost less than $50 because Baker only used products from CoverGirl.To convey this, Baker started off with Boynton's eerie eye makeup — instead of her porcelain-like base. "I like to put the concealer onI've done the eyeliner," Baker notes. "That's my pro tip. Otherwise, you're going to get a muddiness if you do the black on top of the concealer.
I expected Baker to say she drew on the design with a liquid liner, but she points out that they tend to run. Instead, she picked up the in Black Onyx. "I like to have control of my products, so I often use pencils because they have this waterproof, long-wear quality," Baker explains.Another surprise: Baker doesn't use the pencil as, well, a pencil. "I smushed it on the back of my hand," she says. "Then, I used a tiny, tiny angular brush to stroke these little sharp ticks into her lash line, which were then dragged across underneath her inner lashline for a nice swooping, dramatic effect.
