Dmitry Utkin is among those presumed to be dead following the fatal plane crash which is also reported to have killed the mercenary group’s leader Yevgeny Prigozhin.during a trip from Moscow to St Petersburg.and Utkin among the list of those on board, alongside a number of other Wagner fighters.Born in 1970, Utkin was a Russian military officer who fought in both of the Chechan Wars.
Utkin has often been described as the founder of Wagner, with the mercenary group apparently named after his call sign of the same name.
