Brenda Tracy — a prominent rape survivor and activist — has accused Tucker of making sexual comments and of sexual misconduct while on a phone call with her.and said the phone conversation with Tracy was “an entirely mutual, private event between two adults living at opposite ends of the country.
A key detail: Tucker said he never canceled any presentation by Tracy. Per USA Today, however, MSU determined Tucker’s alleged conduct fell under its sexual harassment policy because Tucker told the investigator he canceled one of Tracy’s visits, thus impacting her business relationship with the school.
Michigan State interim president Teresa Woodruff confirmed that she and athletic director Alan Haller were notified about the complaint against Tucker in December. Tucker was suspended after university officials learned details of the situation via the USA Today report.on the investigation. As a survivor and alumna of Michigan State, Whitmer said, “I want answers.”
