Where is their baby? Runaway couple arrested but baby born in car is missing
Constance Marten and Mark Gordon had been on the run Aristocrat Constance Marten and partner Mark Gordon were arrested in Brighton last night after reports that she gave birth in a car which was discovered on fire.
The couple had traveled across Britain from the north-west, covering their faces to avoid detection, and pushing a buggy. The pair had been spotted at three locations, including the port of Harwich on Saturday, and reportedly have a lot of money but were believed to be sleeping rough in a tent. Their car had earlier broken down on the M61 near Bolton.
There is concern for the welfare of their baby, which has not had any medical attention since birth, and is currently missing.The baby’s health is not known, or if it is a boy or girl. Ms Marten’s father was a page to the late Queen Elizabeth, and her grandmother was a goddaughter to the Queen Mother, and a playmate of Princess Margaret.
