We expect significant travel impacts on the roads as this storm moves in bringing very high winds, rain and snow late Tuesday and Wednesday.Take action now to get ready for this storm. Run errands today and if possible, postpone your Wednesday travel plans across the high country. Slick, icy roads and low visibility from blowing snow will make travel hazardous in many areas.Much of the state is under either Wind Advisories or High Wind Warnings . That includes the entire Phoenix metro area.
Winter Storm Warnings are in effect late Tuesday night through Wednesday night for areas above 5,000 feet in elevation across northern Arizona and along the Mogollon Rim. We aren't expecting much rain in the Valley from this storm, but showers are possible through the Wednesday morning commute. Some Valley spots could see around a tenth of an inch of rain on Wednesday morning.
