This year’s broadcast is purportedly set to be “slimier than ever”.
The 49ers and Cowboys are two of the NFL’s storied franchises, having won five Super Bowls each. They’ve faced each other seven times in the playoffs, with five of those matchups coming with a date in the Super Bowl on the line.

The NFC wild-card showdown will be the second annual Slime Game, aired on Nickelodeon in addition to a traditional broadcast on CBS . The Nick broadcast aims to get kids interested in football in the NFL’s never-ending attempt to secure lifelong viewers, even as platforms change on the TV landscape.
