Fezco actor Angus Cloud shares his idea of what his character wrote to Lexi in an undelivered letter in the Euphoria season 2 finale. In typical Lexco fashion, it was supportive and sweet.
Euphoria star Angus Cloud has a theory about Fezco’s letter to Lexi in the season 2 finale. After spending much of the sophomore installment on the backburner, Euphoria series creator Sam Levinson focuses the last episodes on Fezco and Lexi in a significant way. Over the course of two hours, fans see Lexi and Fez’s friendship blossom in several phone calls and easygoing conversations.
Fez is nervous about attending Lexi’s school play, inquiring to Faye about whether he’d look handsome in a tie. And, for her part, Lexi beams that she’s saved Fez the best seat in the house. But in the Euphoria season 2 finale, Fez is caught in the middle of a showdown between a SWAT team and his unofficial brother Ashtray . Ashtray’s murderous tendencies catch up to him and, rather than watch Lexi’s wonderfully absurd school production, Fez has to watch as Ashtray is shot and presumably killed.
Cloud’s reply could be taken as a callback to his belief that some people would be offended by the contents of Lexi’s play. But, as the article clarifies, Fez would’ve intended the simple statement as one of support for Lexi. Cloud goes on to say that if Fez had been able to attend Lexi’s play, it would have meant a lot to him and he would have done his most to show support for his friend.
With how the season 2 finale wrapped up, Fezco is now embroiled in a serious dilemma and could spend time behind bars. Lexi, meanwhile, rekindled a bit of her friendship with Rue . Levinson, who wrote and directed every episode of the season, left a lot of threads unresolved and seemed to tease a time-jump for Euphoria season 3. But, at least if the show’s audience has their say, there will be some room for Fez and Lexi to pick up where they left off.
