Alpine has undergone a management shuffle that comes off the back of a tough first half of the F1 season 🔀 Here’s what impact it’ll have on the team ⬇️
Alpine’s announcement on Monday of a senior management shuffle comes on the back of a challenging first half to the season for its Formula 1 team.leapfrog it for fifth in the constructors’ championship, as it faces an increasingly tough battle in the ultra-close midfield.
Speaking to Autosport about the new structure, Famin said: “The change has nothing to do with the current situation with the F1 team. It has to do with the brand itself, and the ambitious goals we have in terms of developing the brand, in terms of new products, road cars, and in terms of new territories.
“The main difference will be that I will be 100% dedicated to the role, and of course it will be much better for the projects,” explained Famin. “It won't be tomorrow in F1, of course, because we know that it is a big step. It is about the full picture, and the idea is we need to have somebody 100% dedicated to all those projects, including the young drivers, endurance racing, F1. It is to work more efficiently and to have more chance to reach our goals.”
One thing that is not going to change, though, is the infamous 100-race plan that Rossi declared in 2021 of Alpine being regular podium challengers by next year.Photo by: Alpine
