The royal’s pearl earrings bore a striking resemblance to a piece of jewellery worn by the late Queen.
Earlier this morning in London, the Queen and the Princess of Wales joined veterans, politicians, and other members of the royal family to honour British troops on Remembrance Sunday. Standing in a box above the Cenotaph, the two royals watched as the King and the Prince of Wales laid wreaths during the memorial service. For the occasion, the Princess of Wales chose a black military-style Catherine Walker coat that featured a high collar and piping.
The princess’s newly debuted pearl earrings, meanwhile, were likely a subtle nod to the late Queen Elizabeth II, as they look strikingly familiar to a diamond and pearl leaf brooch that once belonged to the late Queen. The ornate brooch, featuring three large pearls surrounded by diamond leaves, was last worn by Her Majesty during her 73rd birthday celebrations in South Korea.
