Gallagher said the issues important to him align with those that matter to District 10...
Former City Councilman Mike Gallagher will temporarily fill Councilman Clayton Perry’s District 10 seat while Perry continues his leave of absence following a hit-and-run arrest.. As one of three shortlisted applicants to be interviewed by the City Council Thursday morning, he fielded questions about his knowledge of the district and priorities if selected.
He won unanimous approval from the 10 active council members and the mayor after about 35 minutes of closed door discussion among the council. Former District 10 Councilman John Clamp praised Gallagher ahead of the council’s decision and called on the council to allow him to fill the interim position. Clamp served from 2007 through 2011.
