Strong to damaging winds, large hail and some flooding are all possible this week.
MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The WSFA First Alert Weather team has declared Wednesday into Wednesday night a First Alert Weather Day. Multiple waves of thunderstorms will bring a risk of severe weather and flooding to the southern half of the state tomorrow through tomorrow night. The primary forms of disruptive weather will be large hail and flooding, but we can’t rule out tornadoes, either.
A 60-90% chance of rain is in our latest forecast through at least Thursday evening. That doesn’t mean it rains all day or all night long. Those higher rain chances mean most of the area will see rain and thunderstorms at some point that day or night.
